Angelina Jolie Gossip

Angelina has been having some issues related to her last adoptive child. Seems that the baby’s mother is still alive and the whole mater has caused some controversy.  Jolie’s brother insists that the she was unaware that her Ethiopian daughter’s birth mother was alive.

Haven insisted that Angelina had no idea that her daughter’s (Zahara) biological mother, Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, was still alive because the paperwork had stated that the little girl was an AIDS orphan.  He went onto indicate to Britain’s Grazia magazine that Jolie would not have adopted the little girl if she had known about Lebiso.

“Angelina has a rule that she adopts children only when they are orphans. I think adoption becomes complicated whenever the biological parents are alive,” Contactmusic quoted him, as telling the mag.

For her part, Lebiso has dismissed reports that she wants the little girl back, stating that she’s happy that her child is being raised by Jolie.  “I have never disputed the adoption… I have no ill feelings towards her (Jolie). I think my daughter is a very fortunate human being to be adopted by a world-famous lady. I wish them all the success they both deserve,” she said.

Angelina topped the recent poll, conducted by Empire Magazine to determine the most beautiful star of the silver screen.  Ms. Jolie claimed the title because according to respondents of her “pneumatic figure, feline eyes and lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees”.

“The World” Man-Made Island Development Resort

 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been reported to have bought one of the exclusive islands that make up the super-development known as ”The World” in Dubai.   The couple’s new real estate is a man-made island in the shape of Ethiopia.  Brad and Angelina’s purchase is part of cluster of 300 man-made islands, shaped like a world map, and built by Dhubai that is gradually surfacing in waters off the booming Gulf emirate. 

“The World” is located just off the coast of Dubai and was developed by state-owned developer, Nakheel. Although no official reports have been announced, it’s rumored that other celebrities such as David Beckham, Richard Branson and Rod Stewart have also purchased islands.

We’re told to have no fear as the environmentally conscious couple don’t plan on simply using the island for high-style and lavish parties. Pitt and Jolie have declared that they are going to use their new island resort to spotlight environmental issues and to promote a greener lifestyle.  That’s very interesting since a project like this could not be done in the USA because of people ljust like Brad and Angelina and their “you cannot disrupt mother nature” attitude.  

Why is this you say?  “The World” development is one of a series of artificial island projects in Dubai, and is being built primarily using sand dredged from the sea, and the only access to the islands is by boat, helicopter, or seaplane. The World is being constructed by Nakheel Properties and is the brainchild of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai. Prices for individual islands range from a mere $6 million up to 36 million US dollars.

Angelina Jolie is 2nd Highest Paid Female Actor in Hollywood

We’re not sure how this happens but she trails behind Reece Witherspoon, who has knocked off once top earner Nicole Kidman.  Nicole has now fallen to 4^th highest paid behind Cameron Diaz.  Witherspoon commands an asking price of between $17 million and $22.5 million a film, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s latest list of highest-paid actresses.

Kidman now commands between $11 million and $17 million a film following a string of flops, including The Invasion.  It is reported that she could regain the top ranking position with her upcoming release of the The Golden Compass.

Diaz makes about $17 million a film.  She made $34 million for Shrek 3 because of a generous share of the profits.

Angelina Jolie jumped an impressive six places this year after teaming again with Brad Pitt in A Mighty Heart.
